🌟🫶🏼Our two European volunteers Anastasiia and Camille were in Oviedo last week for 5 days on an “Arrival training” as part of the European Solidarity Corps program.
“During this time, we not only got to know a lot of great new people who are also volunteering here in northern Spain, but also learned a lot about intercultural exchange, conflict resolution and our rights and duties as ESC volunteers. Through role-playing, creating posters together and smaller discussion groups, we dealt with various topics using techniques that were sometimes playful and sometimes a little more in-depth
The week was super intensive, but the perfect mix of input, exchange and fun. It was especially interesting to learn more about the projects of the other volunteers, and also to realize how some experiences and feelings are similar or different.
All in all, we leave this week a little tired, but with our hearts full of new acquaintances, ideas for games, information about learning methods and the word for coffee and cake in 10 different languages.
